THE IMPOSSIBLE (Juan Antonio Bayona, 2012)

Nothing worth doing can be done overnight.

We do not know what is waiting for us, what life is preparing for us so, do not wait for things happen, just make them happen. Now we are good but it is more than probable than tomorrow or in a couple of days our personal situation will not be the same, either better or worse. But not the same so when we have an opportunity to do something, no matter how important it is, just do it.
For me, this movie - apart from what everybody is able to perceive when watching it - is talking about this. There are few moments in which Lucas (Tom Holland) asks her mother to play or do whatever. His mother's answer is Tomorrow or Then, but... what is that then?

Regarding the effects I think this film is quite realistic in a way. It perfectly portrays certain aspects of the story that make the viewer feel that actions are really taking place. Too much explicit in some occasions but I think it is nice for a film if the director wants the story to touch people. And The Impossible is definitely touching. Of course, the fact that it is based on a real story may make the spectator be even more involved in the movie and the characters, whose performance is likely to provoke emotions among viewers.

If you do not cry with this movie or at least are not certainly moved by it, you are not human at all.
