It is quite weird because there are many changes of time to the past (in some moments it is possible to feel lost because it is possible not to know if the moments happen after or before). On the other hand, there are several shots where it is possible to see the symetry between the two main characters, especially through the elements of the mise-en-scène.
I do not why, probably because they are spies or something similar, I have identified this film with one played by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (Mr and Mrs Smith). The relationship is quite similar between the two main characters who finally are lied. And this makes me to think in the so-called statement of not doing to anyone those things you don't want anyone do against you.
